About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Evening Care Assistant to join our team in Burgess Hill. As an Evening Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and care to our clients during the evening hours, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with their evening routines, including personal care tasks such as bathing and dressing.
  • Prepare evening meals and assist with feeding if necessary, adhering to any dietary restrictions.
  • Provide companionship, engaging in conversation, and participating in activities that clients enjoy.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure clients' living spaces are clean and comfortable.
  • Offer medication reminders and assist with bedtime preparations.
  • Ensure a safe environment for the client, addressing any immediate needs or concerns.

Working Hours:

Evening shifts, typically starting from 6 pm to 10 pm. Flexibility is required, with the possibility of working weekends on a rotational basis.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care setting is beneficial but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • A warm, empathetic approach and a genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with clients and their families.
  • A reliable, organised, and flexible approach to work.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
