Network Rail is a leading organization in the railway industry, committed to enhancing safety, reliability, and efficiency. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Eastern Routes Capital Programmes (ERCP) Safety and Sustainability Assurance Team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Safety and Sustainability Assurance Manager to work with our team to carry out assurance activities on ERCP project teams and suppliers. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing assurance activities to meet governance requirements and improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out assurance activities on ERCP project teams and suppliers to ensure compliance with safety and sustainability regulations.
  • Plan and execute assurance activities to meet governance requirements and improve business performance.
  • Provide advice and guidance to project teams on safety and sustainability matters.
  • Lead the safety and sustainability Level 2 assurance programme for the year, including CDM assurance and functional audits.
  • Liaise with other functions within ERCP to coordinate Level 2 assurance activities.
  • Develop and provide functional support, guidance, and professional expertise on CDM.
  • Provide the single point of contact for safety and sustainability assurance with the regional team, programme controls team, and ORR.
Requirements
  • Nebosh Construction/General Certificate
  • Nebosh Diploma
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of project and contract management
