Design Engineer - Rail Infrastructure

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Design Engineer to join our team, focusing on the development of rail infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of rail engineering and be able to apply knowledge across various engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and design engineering solutions for rail infrastructure projects
* Apply knowledge of rail engineering and work across various engineering disciplines
* Manage projects across the full lifecycle, from design to implementation, with an appreciation for lifecycle costs
* Conduct risk assessments, develop CDM (Construction Design Management) plans, and participate in external audits

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

* Education: Engineering degree or equivalent industry-recognised training qualification
* Experience: Working knowledge of rail engineering with relevant successful experience in the principal discipline and an understanding of related disciplines
* Industry Knowledge: Appreciation of all life cycle stages of rail infrastructure projects
* Competencies: Experience with CDM regulations, risk assessment, and external audit
* Experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of rail infrastructure
* Formal qualifications in risk identification and assessment
