Salary: £42,238 basic (inclusive of shift allowance), rising to £46,395 upon demonstration of site-specific competencies, plus quarterly bonus.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team based at the 20" Pipe Mill in Hartlepool. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the engineering team in carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental standards are met, and providing first-line technical expertise to identify and rectify faults to minimise plant downtime.

The role involves suggesting and implementing improvements to process control systems through collaborative working with relevant peers, possessing a high quality of work, and ensuring any deficiencies found are repaired expediently and are robust enough to prevent recurrence.

This position operates on a shift pattern working 12 hour Days and Nights, 2 days, 2 nights, and 4 days off.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the engineering team in carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance.
  2. Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, ensuring safe working procedures are followed.
  3. Provide first-line technical expertise and knowledge to identify and rectify faults to minimise plant downtime.
  4. Suggest and implement improvements to process control systems through collaborative working with relevant peers.
  5. Possess a high quality of work, ensuring any deficiencies found are repaired expediently and are robust enough to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
  1. Experience with industrial/domestic wiring.
  2. Knowledge of overhead cranes and associated safety systems.
  3. Expertise with PLCs in Siemens and Allen Bradley, including HMI's.
  4. Experience with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems of various configurations.
  5. Awareness of Safety-related control systems.
