Position: Software Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to join our Software Engineering organization, working closely with the Vice President of Software Architecture and development teams to design and implement cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior engineering leads and architects to determine the most suitable architectures, technologies, and tooling for our projects.
  • Develop and maintain architectural standards, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality architectural artifacts, including diagrams and presentations.
  • Manage and prioritize technical backlogs, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to development teams, reviewing designs and implementations to ensure adherence to approved architecture.
  • Work closely with DevOps and SRE specialists to enhance our build, deployment, and operational monitoring capabilities.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand end-user needs, requirements, and solution architectures.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and options to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience leading architecture and designs for high-transaction processing systems.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes in public cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, ideally Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS.
  • Java, Spring, or.NET Core Cloud development experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing micro-service architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience working in a Scaled Agile environment, such as SAFe, and supporting multi-scrum team development projects.
  • Certification in one or more cloud technologies.
  • Experience working with high-volume transaction systems.
