About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Research Programme Manager to join our team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a 60-month research programme focused on improving patient safety and quality of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, development, and delivery of the research programme, working closely with the Principal Investigator and co-Investigators.
  • Coordinate the work of research nurses and manage a team of researchers to ensure timely and effective delivery of the programme.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure the successful completion of the programme.
  • Design and implement studies in collaboration with work-package leads and methodologists.
  • Engage with senior executives and healthcare teams to establish study sites and oversee fieldwork.
  • Ensure effective governance and ethics applications, and lead on the collection of routine data across work-packages.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, and support the writing of peer-reviewed publications.
  • Coordinate the trial and liaise with the clinical trials unit in the delivery of the feasibility study and full trial.
  • Establish and manage patient panels, and support governance arrangements.
Requirements
  • Experience in delivering research projects to time and budget, with a strong track record of success.
  • Proven ability to design research studies at a strategic level, with a clear understanding of patient safety, quality, and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • IT skills, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to analyse and present complex data.
