Workshop Manager

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join our dynamic team at Bishop Stortford Land Rover. As a key member of our Aftersales Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and motivate a team of Technicians & Apprentices to achieve daily targets and provide exceptional customer service.
- Proactively review and prioritize the daily workload to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure the department meets agreed profits and retention levels.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by implementing quality checks and ensuring all service work is carried out correctly, competently, and on time.
- Liaise with colleagues and other departments to provide a top-quality service for customers.
- Schedule work to meet customer needs, taking into account workshop targets, job complexity, and part availability.
- Assist with technical challenges and write technical reports as needed.
- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of COSHH legislation, trade practices, and consumer legislation.
- Awareness of quality control and inspection requirements of a workshop.
- Full valid UK driving license.
