Job Description:

We are working with A-Rec Education, a leading education provider, to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant to work within Key Stage 1. This role offers the opportunity for general classroom support as well as one-to-one or one-to-two support.

If you have experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant and possess a Level 2 or 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning in primary schools, we would love to hear from you.

The role is full-time, term-time only, starting from September 2024. Initially, the position will be until the end of the Spring term, but it is likely to continue until the end of the academic year with the possibility of a permanent contract.

Requirements:
  • A Level 2/Level 3 NVQ or a minimum of six months' experience working within the classroom as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Nursery Nurse.
  • An engaging and flexible approach, able to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Experience dealing with challenging behavior and a patient, creative approach.
  • Ability to use your own initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undertake a full registration interview, including DBS and reference checks.
