We are a newly established, state-of-the-art Decontamination Hub in Kettering, providing efficient services to nine Ramsay Hospital sites. Our 24/5 operation with weekend coverage reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional care.

The Role: Medical Transport Specialist

We are seeking a reliable and competent individual to join our team as a Medical Transport Specialist. Your primary responsibility will involve the safe and efficient transportation of medical instruments between our Sterile Services Hub and four local Ramsay Hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and deliver trolleys of sterilized instruments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
  • Scan instruments into designated trolleys, generating dispatch notes for accurate tracking.
  • Load and unload trolleys securely into company vans, prioritizing weight distribution and safety.
  • Transport medical instruments between hospitals, adhering to all traffic regulations and maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Collect used instruments from various sites and return them to the Sterile Services Hub for processing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and concise interactions with colleagues and hospital staff.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong computer skills are advantageous for efficient record-keeping and dispatch note generation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service, providing courteous and professional interactions with all stakeholders.
