Job Title: Anaesthetics ITU Specialist Registrar Locum

Medical Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anaesthetics ITU Specialist Registrar to join our team on a locum basis. As a Specialist Registrar, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care in the Anaesthetics ITU department under the supervision of a Consultant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Care:
    • Provide specialist care and management of patients in the Anaesthetics ITU department.
    • Assess, plan, and deliver care plans for patients.
    • Perform clinical assessments, diagnoses, and treatments with guidance from senior clinicians.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care.
    • Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call duties as required.
    • Ensure all patient records are accurate and up to date.
  • Teaching & Training:
    • Supervise and support junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
    • Participate in the teaching and training programs for medical students and junior staff.
  • Research & Development:
    • Engage in clinical audits and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
    • Stay up to date with current clinical practices and new guidelines in Anaesthetics ITU.
  • Communication:
    • Provide clear and concise communication with patients and their families.
    • Liaise with colleagues across different departments and levels to ensure continuity of care.
    • Contribute to patient discharge summaries and referrals when needed.
  • Governance & Safety:
    • Adhere to NHS Trust guidelines and policies regarding patient safety, infection control, and data protection.
    • Participate in mandatory training and regular appraisals.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Essential:
    • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
    • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
    • Must have completed core training (CST/CT2) or equivalent.
    • At least 3 years of postgraduate clinical experience in a relevant specialty.
    • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Desirable:
    • Membership of the Royal College of Physicians/Surgeons or equivalent (MRCP, MRCS, etc.).
    • Relevant experience within the NHS.
    • Experience in conducting clinical audits or research.
