Programme Essentials

To be considered for this internship, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Currently be an undergraduate studying at University and applying for a Placement year in your 2nd or final year
  • Graduating from your undergraduate degree in Summer 2025
  • Looking for employment after completing A-Levels or equivalent course or an Apprenticeship

In addition, you must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship.

What to Expect

This internship is designed to provide a broad understanding of an American TV newsroom. You will work with newsgathering and production teams within the NBC News bureau in London, gaining experience in all aspects of the newsroom operation.

Key Responsibilities

You will support the international assignment desk in logistics and coordinating feeds, assist with travel and scheduling, and support the producers and librarians with picture research, logging, and editorial information gathering.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be curious, keen to learn, and enthusiastic about television news. You should have a desire to pursue a career in journalism, awareness of news and current affairs, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
