About the Role

We're currently recruiting for an Automation Test Engineer on a permanent basis. As a key part of an Agile team, the Test Engineer will produce high-quality software services to support building better experiences for our customers and to support esure in becoming a data-driven, digital-first organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within an Agile squad that tests, builds, and delivers industry-leading software that focuses on the needs of our customers
  • Build high-quality test automation and ensure the acceptance criteria for a product continue to be met over many future iterations
  • Responsible for the testing in your specific area and collaborate with product owners to build project backlog items with clear acceptance criteria
  • Analyse changes being made and build test cases that provide appropriate test coverage
  • Work to improve the capability and processes of the Quality Engineering team by suggesting and supporting improvements, sharing knowledge, and driving gold-standard software testing practices

Requirements

We'd love you to have:

  • Significant test automation experience with Java and Selenium
  • Experience of executing and checking both automated and manual testing and defect management
  • Experience testing distributed, scalable, and highly available systems
  • Experience of testing software in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar
  • BDD experience and ability to write and break down user stories
  • An understanding of the wider Quality role required in order to improve quality across the full project delivery lifecycle and drive continuous improvement
  • Exposure to agile, SCRUM & Dev Ops delivery model
  • Collaboration tools: JIRA/ Confluence
