We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Operations Director to join our team at Henderson Scott UK. As a key member of our Executive Leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's business support functions, including Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Marketing, Facilities, and Business Support.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving change management programs, with outstanding communication and negotiation skills. They will be able to work autonomously, ensuring CEO expectations are readily met and exceeded.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a strategic partner on the leadership team and working closely with the sales team to ensure they are meeting performance expectations
  • Coaching, developing, and motivating the support teams to ensure they are delivering against key business metrics
  • Identifying methods to improve quality, productivity, reduce costs, increase profits, and improve the overall efficiency of the firm
  • Collaborating with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organisation
  • Providing timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating condition of the company
  • Overseeing the implementation of business improvement solutions throughout the organisation
  • Demonstrating a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved or solved

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field required
  • Minimum of 10 years of executive management experience running a business support function with demonstrated strategic leadership ability
  • Familiarity with all business support functions, including Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Marketing, Facilities, and Business Support
  • In-depth understanding of the industry, including risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, including budgeting, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and capital planning management
  • Experience with implementing IT systems and CRM, Sales enablement tools
  • Proven track record in driving change management programs; outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational and leadership ability with a proven problem-solving aptitude
