About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Gwent Area Community Coach to join our team. As a key member of our community coaching team, you will work closely with individuals who require support in transitioning back to independent living within their local community.

The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards it. They will also possess strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships with service users. The role involves front-line support, administration, and supervision of medication, as well as providing practical assistance with daily tasks and activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals who have complex mental health needs, disrupted attachments, interpersonal difficulties, and challenging behavior. They will also be able to work under their own initiative, respond to changing priorities, and reflect positively on feedback. A full driving license and willingness to travel are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to service users, promoting choice and control in their care.
  • Administer and supervise medication (training will be provided).
  • React quickly and positively to the individual needs of service users.
  • Support service users with medical appointments, community activities, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and relationship building.
Salary and Benefits

This is a competitive salary of £25,116 per annum, plus a range of benefits, including:

  • A rolling rota covering six weeks, with shift patterns that include mornings, afternoons, nights, and occasional weekend work.
