Mental Health Support Role

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. As a vital member of our team, you will work with service users in the Gwent Area to achieve their goals and live independently. Your main responsibilities will include building trusting relationships and helping service users integrate into their community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support up to 8 service users, fostering strong relationships and guiding them through daily activities.
  • Provide immediate support, responding promptly to individual needs and offering practical assistance.
  • Administer medication, after undergoing comprehensive training provided by the company.
  • Empower service users to take control of their support delivery.

Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or a willingness to pursue it.
  • The ability to build strong relationships, with emotional intelligence and effective communication skills.
  • An understanding of PIE, ACEs, and strength-based approaches.
  • Experience representing and advocating service user needs.
  • Experience working with complex mental health needs.
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel.
Location: Gwent Area. Hours: 35 hours per week. Contract Type: Permanent. Salary: £25,116.
