Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Construction Manager to lead the pre-construction activities for our high-rise and mixed-use projects in London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex project finances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the tendering and proposal process for high-rise projects, ensuring competitive submissions.
  • Oversee budgeting and costing, delivering accurate financial projections and estimates.
  • Create initial project schedules and conduct pre-bid meetings to set clear expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to inform planning and design decisions, ensuring project feasibility and alignment with client needs.
  • Manage the bidding process and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure optimal terms.
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through expert guidance and clear communication throughout the pre-construction phase.
  • Monitor financial, tracking budgets, forecasts, and cash flows to ensure projects remain profitable and on track.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to align design and construction strategies with overall project objectives.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in pre-construction management for high-rise or large-scale projects.
  • Proficient in tendering, proposal, budgeting, risk assessment, and design decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction process with the capability to manage complex project finances.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
