Pre-Construction Manager Job Description

At Michael Page International Canada Limited, we are seeking a skilled Pre-Construction Manager to lead our pre-construction activities for high-rise and mixed-use projects in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the tendering and proposal process, ensuring competitive submissions and accurate financial projections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Construction Leadership: Lead the pre-construction phase of high-rise and mixed-use projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Tendering and Proposal Management: Oversee the tendering and proposal process, ensuring competitive submissions and accurate financial projections.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Create initial project schedules, conduct pre-bid meetings, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to inform planning and design decisions.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through expert guidance and clear communication throughout the pre-construction phase.
  • Financial Management: Monitor financial performance, tracking budgets, forecasts, and cash flows to ensure projects remain profitable and on track.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in pre-construction management for high-rise or large-scale projects.
  • Skills: Proficient in tendering, proposal, budgeting, risk assessment, and design decision-making.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
