Job Title: Commercial Analyst Graduate

Job Summary:

Utility Warehouse is seeking a highly analytical and motivated Commercial Analyst Graduate to join our Commercial Energy team. As a Commercial Analyst Graduate, you will play a key role in driving the optimisation of our energy P&L, ensuring our customers get the most from their energy provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • P&L Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate P&L forecasts for our metering base, identifying key commercial levers and drivers of our success.
  • Commercial Optimisation: Analyse and optimise our metering contracts to capture margin, working closely with colleagues to determine risk and commercial strategy.
  • Sensitivity and Scenario Analysis: Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis for forecasting and risk management purposes, providing key input into the management of major supplier relationships.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with colleagues in other areas of the business to support the metering operation with efficient commercial delivery, providing ad-hoc insight and analysis to senior management for decision making.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Experience: Some commercial and analytical experience within the energy industry, with experience in driving positive commercial and risk management outcomes.
  • Portfolio/Risk Modelling: Ability to apply analytical skills to modelling activities, demonstrating a good understanding of the drivers of the P&L.
  • Data Tools: Familiarity with data tools such as SQL, Looker, and Python.
  • Accountability: Accountability for making things happen, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with others, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
