About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Leader to join our team as a Specialty Lead for the South Central Regional Research Delivery Network. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and support the successful delivery of high-quality research in your speciality area, as an active partner in the research system, to increase capacity and capability of the research infrastructure for the future.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the successful delivery of high-quality research in your speciality area.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal and external partners and stakeholders.
  • Articulate priorities and effectively engage and influence others at all levels internally and externally.
  • Motivate, support and coach colleagues to achieve measurable results.

Person Specification

  • Evidence of clinical, social care, or public health professional status.
  • Experience of leading regionally in the relevant Specialty area.
  • Knowledge of national and regional systems, structures and processes for supporting health and care research delivery.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
