Tax Manager Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Tax Manager to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our tax team, you will be responsible for supporting a diverse client portfolio, working closely with the Tax Manager to deliver high-quality tax advice and services.

- Preparation and delivery of tax advice, including tax planning and compliance.
- Supporting business development strategies, attending prospective meetings and quoting for services.
- Managing your own portfolio of personal tax compliance clients, including workflow management and quality control.
- Overseeing junior team members, providing training and guidance to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Building trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem-solving.
- Monitoring the commercial aspects of portfolio management, ensuring deadlines and fee recovery targets are met.
- Keeping up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team.

- ATT and/or CTA qualified with a minimum of four years' tax experience within UK practice.
- Qualified by a minimum of eight years' tax experience within UK practice would also be considered.
- Technically efficient across taxation, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
- Supervisory experience with good people management skills, including training and guidance.
- Self-motivated and reliable, with a drive to deliver high-quality results.
- A strong communicator, with excellent verbal and written skills.
- Commercial business acumen, with a focus on delivering results and meeting targets.
