Lead Technical Claims Expert for London Market

Hiscox is seeking a highly skilled Lead Technical Claims Expert to join our London Market team. This role will play a crucial part in shaping our technical claims handling and ensuring we meet our obligations to our customers.
In this position, you will oversee the development and improvement of our London Market Hiscox Claims service, working closely with the London Market Claims Leadership Team and the Group Claims Team. You will drive key technical claims initiatives across Hiscox London Market, assess the technical expertise of our Claims Teams, and ensure they have the necessary oversight and input to deliver an exceptional claims service.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing litigation management, systemic risks impacting claims, and effectively managing claims specific reserve risk. You will also provide support to the London Market Claims Team to enhance technical claims handling and develop expertise. Additionally, you will collaborate with teams inside and outside of Claims to ensure that the London Market Claims Team are consistently providing technical claims insights into our business which shape our risk appetite, products and pricing.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering an exceptional market-leading technical claims service. They will have experience of overseeing and developing technical claims across multiple lines of insurance business, including first-party and third-party claims. A proven record in developing and driving oversight and consistency of technical claims handling is essential. Excellent analytical, communication, and influencing skills are also required, along with the ability to take the lead on solving problems.
