Jacobs is seeking a Nuclear Safety Case Engineer to join our growing business.

This role can be full-time or part-time, and we're happy to discuss your preference.

Our Safety Case Engineers work collaboratively across diverse markets in the civil nuclear and defence sectors on strategic national projects.

We're interested in hearing from you if you have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Safety Case production and management.
  • Hazard and Risk identification and assessment studies, e.g. FMEA, HAZOP, ALARP.
  • Internal and External Hazard assessments.
  • Deterministic and Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSA).
  • Nuclear Licensing and Authorisations.
  • Integrating safety principles into engineering designs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering technical work to support the demonstration that a facility or system can be operated safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaising with clients to understand their challenges and develop solutions.
  • Representing the business in technical meetings with clients, regulators and other third parties.
  • Helping to maintain the technical capability/knowledge of the community and mentoring junior team members (as appropriate).
