The purpose of this role is to ensure that customers have an enjoyable shopping experience and to engage and lead a team of shop volunteers in a retail environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively and efficiently operate the shop and all its resources in accordance with the guidance and instruction provided by senior management.
  • Maximise sales and profitability of the shop through effective merchandising and customer engagement.
  • Engage and motivate a team of shop volunteers to achieve sales and customer service targets.
  • Provide and inspire excellence in customer care, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Oversee the daily running of the shop on the manager's days off, ensuring continuity of service and sales.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, actively demonstrating the values and mission of Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care.

Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care is a leading provider of palliative care and bereavement services across West Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. We support people of all ages who are affected by a progressive life-limiting illness and those who care for them, to live as well as possible.

Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual who is able to work effectively in a team environment. Previous retail experience is desirable, but not essential. We welcome applications from candidates who are over 18 and have completed full-time education at school or college, or have completed an apprenticeship.
