About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Support Worker to join our Rapid Response Team, providing critical support to individuals in mental health crisis. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with mental health professionals to deliver person-centered interventions and assessments, developing care plans that address the individual's needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the mental health vehicle to locations required for interventions
  • Provide basic first aid if required and assist the mental health professional with administrative tasks
  • Support carers and loved ones at scene, enabling the Rapid Response practitioner to focus on their assessment/intervention
  • Assist the Rapid Response Practitioner with data entry, care note requirements, and clinical entries
  • Contribute to improving access to supportive services for individuals in mental health crisis

Requirements

  • Full driving license and ability to drive across the Trust site
  • Experience working with people with mental health needs or difficulties in a paid or voluntary capacity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal with conflicting demands and prioritize workload
  • Basic computer skills to collect, collate, and record information and data
