**High-Tolerance Grinding Specialist Sought**

We are looking for a skilled grinding specialist to join our Machine Shop team, responsible for working on high-precision aerospace components with exacting standards and tolerances.

Responsibilities:
  1. Machine Setup and Operation: Set up and operate Myford Cylindrical Grinders for precision grinding on small-diameter journals, achieving tolerances of +/- microns in low-volume production runs.
  2. Wheel Maintenance: Fit and dress grinding wheels as required for optimal performance and adherence to specifications.
  3. Attendance and Work Order Management: Effectively use the MRP system to log attendance and manage work order cards.
  4. Workshop Organisation: Maintain a clean and organized work area to the highest standard.
  5. Team Support: Provide assistance to team members and contribute to overall team productivity.
  6. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to Health and Safety procedures for a safe working environment.
  7. Additional Tasks: Perform other reasonable tasks to support Machine Shop operations as needed.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated expertise in manual grinding with experience using Jones, Shipman, and Myford Grinders.
  • Extensive experience in grinding small batch aerospace components.
  • Proven ability to grind to tight tolerances of +/- microns.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, procedures, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fits and tolerances.
