About the Role

As an Education Support Assistant at ISP School, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students. You will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide individualized support to students, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated support to students, helping them with their academic work and personal development.
  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education.
  • Supervise students during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
  • Report on student progress and concerns, working closely with other school staff to ensure that students' needs are met.
  • Set work and mark assignments, providing feedback to students to help them improve.
  • Build positive relationships with students, driving interaction and positive learning outcomes.

Requirements
  • A strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Some previous experience of working with students with SEMH within an educational setting.
  • Experience of behaviour management and techniques.
  • Committed to professional development and willing to learn.
  • Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing work.
