Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience for students.
  • Support individual students or small groups with learning activities, providing personalized assistance to cater to diverse needs.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning atmosphere, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN), using strategies that cater to their unique requirements.
  • Foster a supportive and engaging environment to help pupils thrive, encouraging active participation and a love for learning.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure the welfare and progress of students, contributing to a cohesive and effective team effort.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children (preferably in an educational setting) has provided valuable skills and knowledge.
  • A patient, caring, and supportive nature is essential for building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and independently is crucial, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach are necessary for effectively collaborating with teachers and other staff members.
  • A willingness to support students with SEN and/or challenging behaviours demonstrates a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of all learners.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
