Drainage Engineer/Project Manager

Our client, a leading UK-based engineering consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Principal Drainage Engineer to join their team in Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct flood risk assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3.
  2. Develop surface water management plans.
  3. Design surface water and foul drainage strategies.
  4. Create detailed designs for surface water and foul water drainage systems.
  5. Design SuDS systems using Microdrainage for residential tower blocks, solar, renewable, greenfield developments, and waste projects.
  6. Perform drainage impact assessments.
  7. Lead and mentor team members, and manage projects.
  8. Contribute to business development by promoting the company's services to new and existing clients.

Requirements:

Applicants must hold a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology, and have experience working for a UK-based consultancy or local authority on flood risk assessments, surface water drainage strategies, and drainage design using Microdrainage.

Candidates should also have experience mentoring junior team members or managing projects.
