This Higher Level Teaching Assistant position at Folkestone Girls is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and passionate educator to make a real difference in the lives of our students.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Classroom Leader to join our team, who can lead a class of children and provide support to the class teacher in their absence. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality education and will be able to work effectively with colleagues to drive forward standards.

Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for a class of children on a regular basis, ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs.
  • Carry out the professional duties of the class teacher, following guidance from them in their absence.
  • Teach a class of pupils, ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs.
  • Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the Trust, both within the school and the wider community.
  • Support initiatives taken by the Trust, as well as supporting the class teacher in their roles and responsibilities.
  • Be responsible for safeguarding the health and wellbeing of the pupils, actively promoting the development of personal and social skills, and providing emotional support in a way that accords with the pupils' age and level of development within the stated aims of the school.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching classes of children and will be able to demonstrate their ability to work effectively with colleagues to drive forward standards.
