What does a Support Specialist do?

As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively to support clients in achieving their goals and maximizing their potential. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing practical and emotional support to clients in their homes and community
  • Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and personal care
  • Accompanying clients on community outings and promoting social integration
  • Administering medication and following care plans

This role offers the opportunity to work with New Zealand's largest community healthcare provider, gaining experience in various disciplines, including aged care, disability, mental health, and rehabilitation.

Requirements:

  • Attitude - a genuine desire to help and support others, striving for excellence in all aspects of work
  • Previous experience in healthcare or care-giving is advantageous
  • Healthcare qualifications are beneficial
  • Most positions require a full NZ driver's license and reliable transportation
