Link Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Link Worker to join our team at Meadows School. As a Link Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Speech and Language difficulties, and associated learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic well-being.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as child protection, safeguarding, and behavior management.
- Diploma/NVQ Level 3 Children's and Young People's Workforce (Social Care Pathway) or equivalent.
- Understanding of Child Protection/Safeguarding principles and practices.
- Full driving license and willingness to transport students in school vehicles and on public transport.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
- Physical and mental resilience, with the ability to manage challenging behaviors and situations.
- Ability to establish trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Small class sizes, allowing for personalized support and attention.
