Audit and Accounts Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Accounts Manager to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of clients and providing expert audit and accounting services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage audits from planning to completion, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Prepare accounts for corporate organizations, including corporation tax returns.
  • Lead a portfolio of clients, overseeing resource planning, WIP, and budget management.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, providing exceptional support and guidance.
  • Deliver strong commercial awareness, identifying opportunities for fee development.
  • Present work to Partners, ensuring high-quality files and confident communication.
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
  • Handle compliance queries from clients, providing clear and concise communications.
  • Provide quotes and estimate fees, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Assist with pitching to new clients and attending networking opportunities, championing new business for the firm.
  • Delegate work to and mentor new trainees, supporting their learning and development.

Skillset We Are Searching For:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified or a finalist with demonstrable accountancy practice experience.
  • Strong knowledge of audit and general accounting.
  • Risk analysis and due diligence.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence to provide suggestions to Partners.
  • Ability to multi-task and oversee WIP.
  • Self-motivated and reliable, with a strong work ethic.
  • Natural leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate junior staff.
