Role Overview

Connect2socialwork is seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join their Adults Mental Health Team. The successful candidate will work on a locum basis, with a pay rate up to £38 an hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of individuals' mental health needs, including risk assessments and evaluations of social, emotional, and environmental factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and other professionals, focusing on recovery-oriented goals.
• Provide therapeutic support, counselling, and crisis intervention to individuals experiencing mental health issues.
• Advocate for service users' rights and needs, ensuring they have access to appropriate services and resources.
• Work closely with healthcare providers, community services, housing agencies, and other relevant organisations to coordinate and deliver integrated care.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
