About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic clinician to join our team as a Learning Disabilities and Autism Development Lead. In this exciting opportunity, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Manchester Care Group in delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.

As a key member of our management team, you will work closely with inpatient services, community mental health teams, and other stakeholders to establish robust processes and service responses that meet the needs of this vulnerable population.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with people with mental health needs, learning disabilities, and/or autism. You will be passionate about innovation, growth, and development, with a strong desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our service users.

Main Responsibilities

  • Developing a clear process to manage local transformation system needs
  • Improving CETR process through local development
  • Establishing processes to ensure service response to Dynamic Support Plans/Registers, promoting admission avoidance and support in the least restrictive environment
  • Responding to lessons learned from LEDER and other initiatives
  • Enhancing quality of experience for individuals with LD/A in mental health inpatient settings
  • Advocating, challenging, scrutinizing, and supporting on behalf of service users with mental health needs and LD/A
  • Informing trust-wide strategic and operational work on LD/A from a care group perspective

What We Offer

A competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including:

  • 25 days annual leave rising to 27 after 5 years and 30 days after 10 years

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current professional registration (e.g., NMC, HCPC, Social Work)
  • At least two years' post-registration experience in a relevant role
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience
