About the Role

We are seeking an experienced clinician to join our team as a Learning Disabilities and Autism Development Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Manchester Care Group in the delivery of care and quality assurance of Mental Health services that are provided to those people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a clear process to manage the local Assuring Transformation system needs
  • Develop a local process to improve CETR process
  • Develop a process to ensure a service response to the local Dynamic Support Plan/Register that enables admission avoidance and supporting people with LD/A in the least restrictive environment but also ensures that this cohort have access to Mental Health services (including inpatient care) as required
  • Develop service responses to learning from LEDER
  • Develop service responses to the needs of people with LD/A with Mental Health inpatient settings with a specific focus on improving the quality of their experience
  • Advocate, challenge, scrutinise and support on behalf of those people with Mental Health Needs and LD/A and provide knowledge, advice, information, share learning and expertise where required to colleagues and services within the Manchester Care Group and across the local system
  • Inform the wider Trust strategic and operational work on Learning Disabilities and Autism from a Care Group perspective
