About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team on a flagship site in London. The successful candidate will work with the largest building service providers in the UK, known for their commitment to career development and training.

The role involves undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks, as well as responding to on-site emergencies. A key requirement is being fully qualified in Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds or NVQ equivalent), with at least three years of experience working as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within commercial maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform PPM and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Undertake AHUs and FCUs maintenance
  • Carry out pump maintenance, including bearings and mechanical seals
  • Inspect and maintain sprinkler systems
  • Conduct water treatment checks, including tap tests and dosing
  • Monitor tap temperatures and chilled water systems
  • Carry out plumbing maintenance and generator checks
  • Ensure proper functioning of pressurisation units and BMS systems

Requirements:

  • Mechanically qualified to City & Guilds Level 2 or NVQ (or equivalent)
  • Apprentice-trained individuals are desirable
  • Experience in Building Services Maintenance is essential
  • Strong client-facing skills are required
