Renewable Energy Fund Accountant Job Description

CV-Library is seeking a highly skilled Fund Accountant to join our team. As a Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for planning and preparing financial reports for a portfolio of Renewable Energy funds, ensuring that reporting deadlines are met and that the delivery of client accounting requirements is in compliance with the Company's contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare financial reports for a portfolio of Renewable Energy funds, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Apply current accounting standards (UK GAAP, IFRS, or US GAAP) and best practice principles to the accounts production process.
  • Establish and set up reporting for new funds based on fund documents and client reporting requirements.
  • Calculate Net Asset Values and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Attend board meetings and client meetings to present accounts and discuss accounting-related matters.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
Requirements:
  • ACCA/ACA qualified (or equivalent) with solid accounting skills and technical accounting knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP) and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, with strong IT skills, including MS Excel.
