Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Café Assistant/Barista to join our team at Ashridge House. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage with guests in a warm and friendly manner, providing a personalized experience that exceeds their expectations.
  • Prepare and serve high-quality beverages, including specialty coffees and drinks, to a high standard.
  • Assist with food service, including serving food and drinks to guests, and maintaining a clean and organized café environment.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of our food and drink menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and pairing suggestions.
  • Build positive relationships with guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process payments and handle customer transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Contribute to the setup and maintenance of the café, including preparing equipment, supplies, and displays.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong sense of customer service, is highly enthusiastic and motivated, and has excellent communication and teamwork skills. Previous experience working as a barista is desirable, but not essential. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for career development and growth.
