**Reports to**: Facilities Manager

**Shifts**: 8 hour shifts - Weekday and Weekend availability

**The Opportunity**

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our growing Maintenance team. Ashridge House is looking for an operative coordinator who we can rely on to provide best in service planned preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure the smooth running of our guest and staff facilities. The Ashridge House dedicated maintenance team provide a speedy response to any service breakdown while delivering excellent care, so our guests can relax knowing they’re being taken care of.

Our impressive 800 year old building and surrounding grounds provide a unique challenge as we keep all our facilities both in excellent condition, but also to reduce our carbon footprint so that we may best service our community and planet. We are looking for someone keen to join us in this challenge of continuously caring for and improving our property.

**What will you be doing?**
- Periodic testing of emergency lights, water, meter readings, fire doors and all other crucial components in accordance with legislation.
- Minor painting works as required.
- Assemble furniture and low-level removals.
- To assist with any planned and reactive works on foul and rainwater drainage installations including all ancillary equipment as and when required.
- To assist with any planned and reactive work on internal and external building fabric as and when required.
- To carry out and/or assist, when necessary, with planned and reactive works on grounds maintenance.
- Identify any defects found to the facilities coordinator and provide parts list and estimated timescale to carry out remedial works.
- To return completed works orders and time sheets as agreed to the facilities coordinator.
- Maintain the professional image of the team.
- Establish and maintain a good a working relationship with all Ashridge House employees and clients’ representatives.
- Ensure the provision of a Safe & Healthy working environment.
- Liaise closely with the facilities and maintenance managers to provide up to date records of PPM activities for audit and statutory compliance purposes.
- To assist with the timely and satisfactory completion of quoted and extra works as required.
