As a Trade Sales Counter Person at Howdens Joinery, you will be the primary point of contact for customers at our depots. Your key responsibilities will include providing exceptional customer service, selling and upselling our range of products and services, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a courteous, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Achieve and exceed individual sales targets to meet depot targets, while building strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Effectively communicate and sell/upsell the full range of products and services offered by Howdens Joinery (face-to-face and via telephone).
  • Generate and pursue sales leads.
  • Process sales for customers using in-store payment systems, ensuring accurate pricing, delivery dates, and stock requirements, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Assist with depot warehouse tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for customers and employees within the depot, ensuring 100% compliance with health and safety regulations and expectations.
