Job Summary

This Theatre Support Specialist role is a key member of our theatre team, responsible for providing essential support and care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work closely with our team to ensure that every patient receives the highest level of care and attention.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Assist the theatre team in preparing the operating room for surgery, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available">
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients before, during, and after surgery, actively listening to their concerns and responding compassionately">
  • Help to maintain a clean and safe environment in the operating room, adhering to infection control protocols and disposing of waste properly">
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery, communicating effectively with patients and families">
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and developments in theatre care">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Degree or diploma in Nursing or related field (current students also welcome to apply)">
  • Minimum 6 months acute HCSW UK experience within the last 2 years">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to empathize with patients and families">
  • Patient-centered approach to care, prioritizing the needs and well-being of every individual">
  • Flexible and adaptable with ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays">
