Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join their team in England and Wales. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
This dynamic role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks across industrial warehouses and commercial offices, with the ability to work safely and unsupervised for large parts of the time. Key responsibilities include conducting general maintenance tasks, attending to plumbing issues, replacing taps and washers, clearing internal waste pipe blockages, minor tile replacement, re-fixing sanitary ware, ease and adjust timber or steel framed doors, fit and adjust door closure mechanisms, re-hang doors, fit new lock mechanisms, fit shelving, repair and adjust cabinet or locker doors, replace timber decking on trolleys, office/storage decorations, touch up work to damaged areas, repainting of trolleys, bollards, floor painting, repairs to storage units, fitting replacement locks and door number plates, accident damage works, removal of dents, limited panel replacement, refitting bump strips and unit corner protection plates, de-burring of unit doors, removal of sharp edges, changing lamps & starters to storage and office areas.
A successful candidate will possess excellent driving skills, adhering to the Highway Code and driving laws of England and Wales, an understanding of basic safety rules in connection with the safe use of tools and safety equipment (PPE), fluent knowledge in the safe use of ladders, solvent, paint cleaners, two pack epoxy paints, manual handling and lifting techniques, pre-use safety inspections of tools and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Full clean driving licence.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in a similar maintenance role. Qualifications in a similar field are desirable.
- Excellent and safe driving skills adhering to the Highway Code and driving laws of England and Wales.
- Understanding of basic safety rules in connection with the safe use of tools and safety equipment (PPE)
- Fluent knowledge in the safe use of ladders
- Fluent knowledge in the safe use of solvent, paint cleaners and two pack epoxy paints
- An understanding of manual handling and lifting techniques
- The ability to carry out pre-use safety inspections of tools and equipment.
