About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Swimming Teacher to join our team at Lampton Leisure. As a Level 2 Swimming Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to children and adults, following the Swim England framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver swimming lessons that meet the requirements of the Swim England framework.
  • Carry out administrative tasks associated with the position, including lesson plans and schemes of work.
  • Ensure all classes are registered and continuous assessment of pupils is happening each week.
  • Uphold GDPR guidelines at all times.
  • Responsible for equipment set-up, organisation throughout the sessions, and putting away at the end of the session.
  • Ensure all concerns of a child safeguarding nature are referred in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with Safeguarding policy.
  • Work with customers in group and sometimes on a one-to-one basis to motivate and instruct them during their lessons.
  • Supervise and mentor ASA/Swim England Level 1 Assistant Swimming Teachers as required.

Requirements:

  • Hold an ASA/Swim England- SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) and SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming, or STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming and STA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming.
  • Be passionate about helping people of all ages and backgrounds to learn to swim or become stronger, faster, or more confident when swimming.
  • Have good communication skills, including listening, questioning, and delivering effective feedback, and the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with customers, children, and their parents.
