About the Opportunity

MMP Consultancy is seeking an experienced Procurement and Contract Officer to join our team in Kent. This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work on high-profile contracts and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • To manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of our contracts, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Assisting the Senior Contract Manager in delivering contract objectives and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Focusing on safety and risk management, with all identified risks escalated to the Senior Contract Manager.
  • Providing regular updates and support to the Senior Contract Manager on contract performance and progress.
  • Conducting regular audits and reviews of contract-related data and information.
  • Analyzing and reporting on KPIs and metrics within contractual frameworks.
  • Supporting the Senior Contract Manager in financial monitoring and analysis.
  • Monitoring and reporting on contract management meetings and actions.
  • Taking ownership of specific projects and initiatives as required.
  • Supporting delivery teams in responding to client inquiries and updating CRM systems.
  • Coordinating works orders, completions, and payment processes in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in maintaining accurate records and databases for stock condition, asbestos, fire risk assessment, and other relevant areas.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as word processing, correspondence, and providing general support to the Property Team.
  • Managing budgets and finances associated with contracts and projects.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in contract management or procurement.
  • Detailed knowledge of JCT and partnering contracts.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve problems effectively.
  • Sound judgment and prioritization skills.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in dealing with customer complaints and providing excellent customer service.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum.
