Key responsibilities include:

* Creating and driving HSE strategies to enable delivery of a proactive HSE culture across the site
* Coaching and mentoring the HSE Co-ordinator to ensure effective performance

* Ensuring all Health, Safety and Environment legal requirements, policies, standards, procedures are interpreted, communicated, documented and systems exist to ensure the site is compliant with current legislation and company policy regarding HSE
* Developing, implementing, maintaining, communicating and continuously improving the Health, Safety and Environment management system for the business
* Designing, implementing, monitoring and reporting site HSE performance, analysing trends and developing actions plans to deliver site targets regarding HSE
* Identification and coordination of HSE training and development for managers
* Ensuring all incidents are investigated, recorded and reported, identifying and recommending improved practices to reduce accidents
* Monitoring site risk assessment process and providing assistance/advice to site assessors to ensure site risk assessments/safe systems of work are maintained and meet regulatory requirements

Essential experience, training and qualifications include:

* Prior Safety, Health and Environmental experience at managerial level or senior level
* High risk, fast paced manufacturing OR high risk industry experience ideally in or related to - Food, Beverage, Paper or Packaging
* NEBOSH Certificate, ideally Diploma

Ideal personality traits include:

* Hands on in their approach, inspires confidence and collaborative
* Has a great attitude and ability to converse HSE positively to senior leadership teams
