About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Lead to join our team at EMCOR UK. As a key member of our Strategic Sourcing team, you will be responsible for developing and managing the sourcing strategy for designated categories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement category plans that demonstrate a robust supply chain delivery, considering performance measurement, risk management, and operational excellence.
  • Analyse spend data and market/supply chain intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams through the tender process for assigned categories.
  • Negotiate and deliver cost savings through strategic tools and negotiation skills.
  • Identify, select, develop, and manage new supply chain partners to support future business needs.
  • Provide clear communication lines to ensure the business is aware of all strategic initiatives.
  • Integrate ISO 20400 Sustainable Procurement requirements into category plans.
  • Ensure all Purchase Service Agreements (PSAs) are up to date.
  • Develop and implement a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Plan, aligning with our Key Account Management (KAM) principles.
  • Manage key supplier relationships, unlocking value beyond cost and promoting reciprocal arrangements.
  • Lead continuous improvement programmes within the supply chain to deliver best value to our clients.
Requirements
  • Previous Category Management experience within FM services is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of Category Strategies, Strategic Sourcing, and implementation of framework agreements.
  • Sustainable Procurement knowledge.
  • A passion for procurement and supply chain.
  • A desire to think 'outside of the box' and challenge the status quo.
  • Highest levels of integrity at all times.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills.
  • Experience of driving value and delivering cost-saving targets.
  • Ability to lead and work in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • MCIPS preferred.
  • Valid full driving licence.
