Paediatric Nursing Career Development

We are seeking experienced Paeds nurses to join our team on Penguin Ward at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC).

This is a permanent full-time/part-time position, working 37.5 hours per week.

As a Band 5 Paeds nurse, you will be responsible for caring for children aged 0 – 10 years old with various surgical conditions.

The ward hosts a variety of opportunities to progress your nursing career and skills in paediatric surgery, from neonates to teenagers.

Main Job Responsibilities
  • Care for patients with trauma, orthopaedic, ear nose and throat, plastic and cleft, and general surgery needs.
  • Develop skills by working alongside Clinical Nurse Specialists and other multidisciplinary team members.
  • Learn or build on skills such as acute pain management, parental nutrition, complex fluid management, and planning and assessing care for complex post-operative surgical patients.
Eligibility and Requirements
  • RSCN/RN child branch (NMC registered) or equivalent qualification.
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Able to speak fluent English to an appropriate standard.
Compensation and Benefits

Estimated salary: £29,970 - £36,483 per annum, pro rata for part-time roles.
