Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Physiotherapist to lead our Prehabilitation and Surgical Team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities

The Clinical Lead Physiotherapist will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Prehabilitation and Surgical Team to deliver safe, effective, and personal care to patients
  • Developing and implementing clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care pathways
  • Supervising and mentoring junior physiotherapy staff
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and audit/research processes

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 4 years relevant clinical experience
  • 2 years of experience at Band 6 level in respiratory, covering colorectal surgery, chronic disease management, and ITU
  • Supervision of junior physiotherapy staff
  • Experience of teaching students and peers
  • Experience of audit/research process

Desirable

Previous prehabilitation experience, previous experience at Band 7 level, and previous management of patients following colorectal surgery are desirable.
