About the Role

Ardmore Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team for a major hotel fit-out project in Southwest London. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of all commercial activities in the construction process.

Main Responsibilities
  • Procure sub-contractors and consultants, ensuring that their services are within budgetary constraints.
  • Analyse work package tender returns, attend pre-start meetings, and submit detailed order placement recommendations to the Senior and/or Managing Quantity Surveyor.
  • Administer sub-contractor, consultant, and supplier claims, ensuring compliance with commercial interests.
  • Attend design team meetings to ensure compliance with contracts and minimize unnecessary costs.
  • In the absence of a Senior Quantity Surveyor, carry out their role and inform the Managing Surveyor and/or Head of the Commercial Department of any difficulties.
Requirements
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying.
  • Chartered member of RICS or working towards.
  • Excellent knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract (JCT) and Standard Methods of Measurement.
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations (including Part B).
  • Knowledge of NHBC Standards.
