Job Description
We are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at an outstanding SEN school in Dudley. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop personalized approaches for each pupil. Your role will involve providing individualized support to SEN pupils, assisting students in overcoming barriers to learning, and contributing to a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop personalized approaches for each pupil
- Provide individualized support to SEN pupils, working one-to-one or in small groups
- Help students overcome challenges and build confidence through effective strategies and behavior management
- Assist with classroom tasks and contribute to a positive learning environment
- Motivate and inspire students to engage actively in their education
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience working with SEN children in a school setting (preferred)
- Confidence in supporting vulnerable individuals on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to learning and behavior support
- A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential
Salary and Benefits
This is a competitive opportunity offering a salary of £425-£450 per week, inclusive of holiday pay. You will also benefit from ongoing training and professional development opportunities, as well as a supportive and collaborative work environment.
